How do I charge the battery and how often should I do it?
To charge the battery, always use the original charger provided with your BZEN bike. Simply connect the charger to any standard power outlet (220 / 230 V AC) and plug it into the bike.
Depending on the terrain and assist level, the battery offers electric support for up to 90 km with the 7Ah / 252Wh version, or up to 120 km with the 10Ah / 360Wh battery.
We recommend charging the battery when it reaches 30–50% capacity. It’s best to avoid letting it fully discharge — but don’t worry, if it does happen, it’s not a problem.
When charging from around 50%, the 7Ah battery will be fully recharged in 1 to 1.5 hours. If the battery is completely empty, a full charge takes about 3 hours.
Our charger automatically stops once the battery is full, so there’s no risk of overcharging, even if you forget to unplug it. The built-in battery management system (BMS) also protects against deep discharge.
Important:
If you’re not using your bike for a longer period, make sure to recharge the battery every 6 to 8 weeks. This will significantly extend its lifespan.
Also, please avoid charging the battery at sub-zero temperatures, as this can affect battery health.
